Mother was in her early 20's. She was 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighed 103 and had a slender build. She had brown eyes, brown hair and had fair to medium skin coloring. She was a high school graduate and had done secretarial work. She had studied piano for several years. She enjoyed homemaking. She had an older sister, a younger sister and brother.

MATERNAL RELATIVES

Grandmother was the same height as mother. She was a very good seamstress. She had a grade school education. She was interested in the piano.

Granfather was 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed 145 pounds. He had black hair, brown eyes and dark complexion. He was a carpenter and did lots of handwork around the house.

Maternal Aunt was same size as mother and had blonde hair, green eyes and fair complexion. She was a high school graduate and had nurse's training. Other aunt was very outgoing and had lots of personality. Uncle was intelligent and "caught on to things fast."

Father was in his early 20's. He was 6 feeet 2 inches and slender. He had brown hair and blue eyes and fair complexion. He was a high school graduate. He was in the service, and worked in a factory before that. He was described as being quiet with a quick temper.

Grandmother was 5 feet 7 and heavy. She had the same coloring as father. She was a housewife and described as being quiet and sweet.

Grandfather was 5 feet 7 inches and slender with same coloring as father.

Father had 3 siblings. One uncle was a college graduate and spoke 7 languages.

     I was born 09 May 1965 @ 0637 and weighed 5 lbs 6 1/2 oz. and 18 inches in length. Born in Marion County, Indianapolis, Indiana and adopted through The Children's Bureau of Indianapolis. The adoption was finalized through Marion County Probate Court with Judge Pfau on 23 December 1965. The adoption caseworker was IRENE WEINBERG and the Adoption Supervisor was JULIA D. JOSEPH. The WITNESS-HOME STUDIES person was ELIZABETH GEGAX.

     The medical history given:

     Adoptee weighed 5 pounds 6 1/2 ounces and was 19 inches long at birth. She was born at 6:37 a.m. She was a healthy normal infant in satisfactory condition. There were no problems during pregnancy or delivery. Gestation was term and labor was 8 hours.

Both parents and grandparents were in good health.

Maternal great grandmother was in her late 60's and had shingles and problems with her eyesight fading.

Other maternal grandmother died of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Maternal great uncle had always been in poor health from birth and had been an invalid. He had died young.
